Very generous balcony for the 3 and 4 bedder.
Very generous balcony for the 3 and 4 bedder. The planters at the balcony can be covered with decking(permission may be needed) to provide a flushed bigger balcony. -

Unbearable mrt noise
We used to live in block 19. We could hardly bear the track noise. We were falling in love with the first sight of the pool view. But the fact is never be cheated by the surface. Someone referred below sacrificial blocks 17C, 19, 21D. So I suggest you do more research when you are going to move there. -

Unbearable mrt noise
A general good property with good location. BUT, the big but... is the block 17C in close proximity to mrt track suffers huge noise issue. I live at high floor (10), the noise from 5:30am to 12:30pm is simply unbearable. I am light sleeper, so it really disturbs my life. The change of tracks by mrt makes the whole situation even worse. I suggest when you wish to tenant at this property, go check it out and experience it first before decide. Not like me, rush to decision. -

Not Value for Money at Current 2014 Prices
- Unit Viewed: 1270 sqft at mid floor Pros: - Good Condo Facilities: Gym, Groceries, Family Pool, 50M Lap Pool, Playground - Close Location to Mrt- 5-10 mins walk through the back gate - Jogging Path outside Condominium Cons: - East Point mall is currently under renovation and rebuilding which will take another 1 year to complete. - Messy Condominium layout: lost our way trying to find the right block -Finishing quality of built in furniture is poor and rough - Signs of water leakage in toilet as wallpaper was peeling off - Bay windows were too big and wide and took up too much space inside 2 common rooms and master bedroom. The total usable space was reduced by bay windows and the large balcony to be about 1000-1100sqft -2 common bedrooms were too small and 1 single size children took up close to half of the usable space. The remaining space was sufficient for only a study table Remarks: At the current pricing of $1100 to $1300, this project is simply not value for money. Waiting for a price retracement of 10-20% would make more sense. -

Good Layout and Convinient
Double Bay Residences even though with bay window but the size is just nice. 3 min walk to Simei MRT , super convenient. The landscape is beautiful. Very near to Singapore Airport. -

The real size
I was excited to see some large units advertised. So I rang to confirm indoor "livable space." The 2380sft 4brm is approx 1500sft The 3000sft penthouse is around 2000sft I really wish people would advertise these things honestly. Apart from that, it does look lovely and nice and close to the MRT and great little shopping centre. Tampines (1 MRT stop away has a Fair Price finest and a Cold Storage and a few Western dress shops (UK, Europe, Aust and the US) It's a good spot for expats if you need to take the MRT to work or attend one of the international schools out this side of town. -

Laundry hanging on the balcony!!
Recently had to go to the condo management to tell them about people hanging their laundry all over their balcony. It seemed that after one unit did it, others followed. Perfect example of group consciousness. Gave the condo an image of HDB living rather than "luxury living" as it was claimed. very disappointed with the overall exterior vibe relative to the older neighboring condos like Tropical Spring. Much more well kept and managed. -

Affordable rentals near Changi Business Park
At Double Bay Residences, there is always something for everyone in the family - both young and old. Just only 15 mins walk to Changi Business Park, this large landscape condo is definitely a boon to those who work nearby. Besides, the resort-like setup of palm oasis and cascading waterfall makes you feel coming home everyday a holiday experience. Not to be outdone by its recently TOP neighbours, Double Bay boasts of 3 mins walk to nearby amenities and MRT. Besides, it has a row of 6 convenience shops that will be taking in tenants. Go ahead, satisfy your curiosity. -

Good Condo to stay or invest
Spacious design , near MRT , 6 shop downstairs. I like this condo and wish it can TOP soon. -

Is this really a luxury condo?
I have seen this condo when it was soft launched. The location is excellent and facilities looked impressive but I was rather surprised that it does not even have a underground carpark. It has a multi-story carpark though (just like its neighbour, Simei Green which is a EC). The neighbouring Modena and Tropical Spring both have basement carparks. May be I am a bit spoilt but when the better units are located far from the MSCP and those closer to the MSCP is also closer to the train track. Its a big dillema. I will probably wait for completion and see what is it like. Its good for those who don't drive due to its proximity to the MRT station. For now, I am not convinced this is a luxury condo. -
