    Security issues

    I think Mr Issac just reinforced the issue about security. 2 entrances, 1 guard. Same security management company with next building but who cares? Bottom line, it's still 2 entrances, 1 guard. Also, security cameras doesn't prevent wrong doings, it only serves as an after crime help tool. Too late! Nice location yes, not to mention the sleazy bars and pubs next door. Not secured entrances plus sleazy bars and pubs next door. Avoid. Extreme noise and dust from next door project. Avoid. Wait till Far East starts their mega high rise projects next door. You can forget about any views + noise and dust for years to come. Avoid.

    Eastview

    I have stayed there for 1 year. It is very secure place even if it has 2 entrances, one door without key cannot get in except when the security open for you. The entrances door also have CCTV. The security there is very strict and anybody who is not a resident go in will question. The security work together with the security in Eastgate next door where they are with the same management. Eastview is good for the following reasons : Excellent location,really very convenient as it saves your time due to 2 shopping malls around. Eastview is located between Eastcoast road & Marine parade road very easy to access from both sides with many buses, amenities , good school. Easy access to ECP. The rooms in the apartment are spacious especially master room very big unlike many newly built condos with tiny rooms. The only disadvantage about the condo is the lack of facilities. The condo only has swimming pool & gym.

    security issue

    1 security guard, 2 entrances. It is never possible for the entrances to be fully secured and safe! Does your security guard need to go eat and use the toilet? The vehicle gates are not secured and everybody can walk through them. Also the lifts do not keep keycard to go the units. Not to forget paramount pubs next door. With all the mentioned above, how secure is your condo?

    Great location

    Just moved in not long ago. Fantastic location. 5 mins walk from Parkway and 5 mins walk from Katong eateries / 112 Katong. No need to worry about parking anymore! Parking is separately charged from maintenance, but overall cost is still reasonable compared to other newer condos where you may not even use the facilities. Furthermore, location is popular with expats for rental and carpark is only half utilised so you only pay for parking if you need it. Interiors are old, but the apartment is more than 10 years old. If you spend some money renovating (which adds up to much less than the newer apartments in the area going at 1500 psf ++ for a 2-bedroom), you can easily create your dream home. Security is pretty tough on strangers (I had my fair share when I was "new" and "unrecognized"). Anyone who comes in and out of the building from both entrances can be seen by the security very easily. No MRT, but many buses to town from East Coast Road or Marine Parade Road. Great if you work near Suntec / City Hall as the bus takes the expressway and only 15mins to get to work. People who buy / rent East View value the location, safety, amenities, proximity to East Coast Park (10 mins walk). One thing for sure, you will never go hungry!

    yes, carpark must pay extra

    Yes, amazingly, you have to pay extra for carpark! Crazy. Super old interior, place not really that secured due to one security guard, 2 entrances, condo not really secured. With the pubs around the condo, place not really that safe. Recent prices for the place keep dropping, and yet the sellers keep asking for higher psf. Crazy again. Did I mention poor rental yield?

    old condo

    Old condo. Minimum facilities, only a small gym and a small pool. The pool toilet looks worse than coffee toilet. Forget about sea view or any view unless you are on the penthouse. Entrance and exit to carpark is small and tight with lots of cars illegally parking along the road. Most important of all, if you are buying for investment, the rental yield is really low for the amount that you are going to fork out to buy. Rent maybe, but purchase for investment, you can forget it. Look elsewhere, better value.

    east view

    run down place. if u buy, big renovation required. small gym. apparently apart from the maintenance fees, i was told that you need to pay for monthly car park lot??? most levels views are blocked by tall surrounding buildings. noisy construction. next buildings bought by far east, so expected be surrounded by even taller buildings and blocked all views. trying to sell at a premium price due to location but it is not value for money. next door palladium is so much newer, nicer and better.
