Great place for long term stay
Good sized apartments and rooms which are great for families. Private lifts in all units - only 2 unit per floor which provides owners with a lot of privacy. Friendly, respectful neighbours / MCST members and responsive managing agent. In terms of condo facilities, good size adult pool, kids pool and jacuzzi. Small but clean gym. Only downside - no function room and only a very small BBQ area - not suitable for large gatherings. Lots of eateries (good food) in the area. Walking distance to Whampoa Market, Balestier Food Center and Zhongshan Mall. Clinics close by at Whampoa or Okioo for medical emergencies. Within 1km distance to SJI Primary and Hong Wen Primary. Great for those who drive as it’s easily accessible by CTE Moulmein or Balestier or PIE. Direct buses to Novena, Newton, Orc -

Best location
Great food nearby within 5 minutes walk to Whampoa market, zhongshan Park ntuc finest, balestier market and novena Square. Novena MRT just 5 minutes away. Walk or drive through back roads of novena to get to moulmein Road or Thomson Road to avoid balestier traffic. Always breezy and great unblocked views. -

Smallish 30 unit freehold apartment that interestingly only has 3 bed rooms ranging from 1184 to 2960sf. there were 5 transactions in 2019 alone, pointing to a healthy demand for this project. -

Ecoville
Great place to live near city, good transport and facilities and excellent views. Bought from new and ewnjoyed good years in this exciting area of Singapore. -

Not Impressive
Had visited an unit for sale not long ago. Found clear signs of wear & tear on some internal fittings, cabinets & flooring especially. Quite an aged decor as well, not impressive to worth the price. The internal pool is too chilling to swim in, a waste. Turned me away to take up another offer instead. Very subjective to rate it well on the 5 star scale. So, I give it 2-3 star on average. -

Walking to MRT
I'm sorry to hear the previous reviewer has taken a long route to walk to MRT. A quicker way is to go via Mandalay Rd, Bassein Rd and Akyab Rd, and go through Tan Tock Seng hospital. I agree with another previous reviewer that it takes 10 mins because I have also tried it myself. I don't know of any condo that have sheltered walking for around 1km to MRT, so that point seems rather invalid. Ecoville is situated on higher ground on Martaban Rd and no experience of flooding. The recent drowning happened on Mandalay Rd. If raining heavily, one should avoid walking if possible, or walk a different route on higher ground or more ideally should take bus 131 or 21 to MRT. The bus stop is 1 min walk from condo. I have lived here a long time, and do not understand why such negative remarks have been made, especially based on incorrect info and do not seem to be based on real living experience. -

Distance between Ecoville & MRT station
The distance between Ecoville & Novena MRT is 1350m (see onemap). Nearest route by foot being Martaban Rd, Mandalay Rd & Moulmein Rd. Takes more than 20 minutes at moderate pace to walk. Without shelther & uneven terrain. Heavy rain may encounter flood in part of the journey. Recently, an Indonesian guy was swept away by fast water & drown inside the drain behind Ecoville. Too dark, quiet & dangerous to walk at night. Ridiculous mass of planters, bay windows & AC ledge that almost wrap round the entire unit. Looks like 950sqft instead of 1184sqft. -

Nice Condo
Condo has easy access to nearby amenities. 10mins walk to MRT - I tried it. Price is still one of the cheaper ones in this area compared to neighbouring condo's like Montebleu, Axis, Mandale Heights, Medge, Pavilion11, M21 etc etc. Balcony is smaller than most newer condo's. Planters not an issue for xx-02 layouts - just view to see for yourself. Looking at website currently, only 1 unit is available for sale as all previous units have been sold. -

This is a Over Priced Condo!!!
Too many planters & very big piece of AC ledge. Buyers should be careful about what they are paying for. This ppty was market by ERA @ $520psf up in late 2006. To date, almost half of the total owners had sold their units. Refer to the URA website for details. -

Design is outdated
Old fashioned building design - Too many planters. Buyers pay for that, beware. Stray cats noise problem at night. -
