Affordable City Living
I am a resident here and I am still loving the stay in Emeral Garden, along the popular club street!
Pros
Not only it is an affordable 999-yr development in District 1, it has full condo facilities, except tennis court.
The biggest advantage is that my apartment does not have a balcony, hence, the floor area is fully maximized especially for haze months like now.
Moreover, it is within 10 mins walk to all MRT lines (NE, DT, EW, NS) - except circle line. And I am excited by the Maxwell station, which is coming up soon!
Amenities like Cold storage is just a stone's throw away, else NTUC is just slightly further down the road at Chinatown Point. Meals are definitely not a problem with Amoy Street food centre, Maxwell food centre and Hong Lim food centre just less than 10 min walk! Starbucks, Subway, Macdonald, KFC, Mosburger, etc.. are all within walking distance too!
Cons:
The swimming pool is a lil small, not so suitable for laps swimmers.
A little 'music' during Fri and Sat late nights due to the famous club street. thankfully the security guards here are 'real' and not replaced with CCTV like most developments.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the place for living, even with young kids, or rental to expatriates.
