Much Better Now With New MA
for the past 1 year with the new MA on board, life in Glentrees is so much better. Our R&R went on seamlessly. The Swimming decks are fixed up, very nice. The Sauna that caused the fire has been removed and everything has been fixed up. I love the side gate that leads me to Jelita (they have a nice food court now) and to the rail corridor. You exist the front gate you get a bus 92 to Buona Vista Mrt (3 stops) and Ghim Moh Market (1 stop). Buona vista has both EastWest and Circle Line. If I am headed to town, I will go via the side gate to Jelita to take Bus 7 or 75. I can walk 1km to Ghim Moh and 1.5km to Holland Village. -

Nice place except..
Glentree, strategically positioned, enjoys close proximity to schools, markets, dining establishments, and supermarkets. Moreover, transportation is seamless, facilitating easy access to the city. However, my primary concern lies with the management. Their handling of urgent matters—such as false fire alarms, sauna’s big fire multiple accidents, lift malfunctions, water issues, dark area at the basement, etc etc —leaves much to be desired. It appears our grievances have fallen on deaf ears. Not a friendly place for children -

Love almost everything except the Management
In terms of location and the unit use of space internally, they get top marks. Layout of the units are good, good light, good breeze, not too big. It's quiet and serene but yet 5mins away from rail corridor and 24hrs Jelita and 10mins away from Henry Park Pri Sch and 15mins walk to Ghim Moh Market and Buona Vista MRT. Not friendly to children or family with kids below 16yrs old. Kids not allowed to play outside in common area, playground for kids rusty and broken down and not fixed for many months. No BBQ pits. Pool decks not fixed. Management is the worst I have ever encountered. Threatens and speaks harshly to contractors or domestic helpers. So please be wary if you want to rent or buy here. We did not expect to have to deal with such a management, made my move in here hellish. -

Rare value - quiet and very green.
A new side gate connects the Condo to the Green Corridor - providing access to outdoor cycling/ walking/ running options. Also, makes it very easy to hop over to Jelita for essentials (cold storage, starbucks etc.) or catch a bus to Holland Village or Clementi MRT. Buona Vista MRT can also be easily reached by bicycle or on foot with Ghim Moh market en-route. School buses pickup for most of the prominent international schools. The units have good, efficient layout with rooms able to fit a queen size bed comfortably. The quality of the original developer fittings could have been better - but that's easily solved with renovation - which any new owner will likely do anyway. -

A resident's response to a FAQ
Q - Is the environment noisy with the Henry Park School next to it? A - All schools are closed for Saturday, Sunday,Public Holidaya, and school holidays. That is half the year, when it is absolutely quiet. on school days, it is closed from 6 pm to 6.am. and during school hours, the extra curricular activities will cause the children to be noisy. Overall, it is very peaceful and mostly noice free. Overall, The noice quantum is lower than a public road, or another condominium. -

Recommended
Very nice landscape. School Construction behind the condo will end in May. This condo will open a side gate directly lead to Holland road soon. -

Construction site behind
Construction starting at the school behind. Will be noisy for a long while thus not recommended. Just when the noise from the trains finally stopped. -

Sight Unseen
We bought our flat with having seen only the floor plan and pictures. The location is good, easy walking distance to tube, bus on the doorstep, close to schools (except American and Australian), and shopping. The nearby train-line is closed, so no further noise. We like the fact that the development had one awards, it is low rise, has a 50m lap pool, and lots of greenery. We had set ourselves not to be in D10, but this came up and had the best of everything. -

Best Layout
We literally fall in love with this condo. It's low rise, wide spread development with a mix of town house, and 2/3 bed rooms. You don't have the feeling to seat on each other. There are a lot of trees and the development layout really gives a good atmosphere in general. The inside of the condo are also very well thought with two side view giving a feeling of space. No Bow windows but terrace instead, so you don't pay for space you can't use. The Franjipani tree and the fish pond really adds to the overall good fengsui of the units. Very windy as well thanks to the lots of window and airways. The only problem with this condo was the train noise, but since 1st July, the train doesn't exist anymore. The majority of expats living there and the Holland and Six Avenue area guarantees a good yield for rental and a good investment in time. We are moving there next month! -
