Quiet seaview development
I am just about settled into this development after 3 months. Walking distance to work or 1 bus stop and great seaview from bedroom balcony or sitting and reading by baywindow! All round convenience be it food or transport. One Shenton and Clift are brand new and nearer but did not fancy staring into offices all round especially at night. Quiet at night when I get in. I use the tennis court since I came and is easily available, not the case for friends who has joined me for games from the Sail and Icon, sharing two courts with more than 1000 or 640 units! The gym is small but I prefer to join big gym at Capital Tower for good workout. -

Overated
The one and only advantage of Lumiere is its location within the CBD, walking distance from everything, MRT, foodcourts, taxi stands, bus stops to everywhere on the island, 24 hours eateries... other than that, the condo in itself is the shadow of other condos nearby, such as the Icon, MBR or the Sail, or even One Shenton. It fetches prices comparable to Marina Bay Residences, without even having a tenth of the facilities. It is even more expensive than the Icon, with the same remark applicable. Further, the numerous construction sites around (70 Shenton Way, 79 Anson, Altez...) make it a very noisy place to live. The finishing in the flats are very under par what you would expect in properties scoring this kind of prices, especially in comparison to the other developements around. The facilities are fairly minimal, with no ground, no bbq pits, a fairly small pool, a tiny exercise room (definitely not a gym) and only one tennis court for 120 flats. Finally, security is lousy, even if this isn't my main concern here, as this is Singapore after all. I live here, I love its convenience, its relative intimacy in comparison to the monster-size condos around, and its outside aspect, sleek and shapr as a needle, espcially at night. However, this can't justify the prices advertised, and you should bargain hard or move to the Icon or Marina Bay Residences. If I wasn't locked in my rental contract, I'd do it. -

Only SOHO in CBD!
Offering panoramic views of the waterfront and downtown core, the Lumiere will be a 43-storey, 168 unit luxury SOHO (Small Office Home Office) development located at 2 Mistri Road, in the Shenton Road area of Singapore’s Central Business District (adjacent to the headquarters for the Monetary Authority of Singapore). The Lumiere is well situated in the downtown core, 3 minutes walk to the Tanjong Pagar MRT station and nearby shopping at the mixed-use International Plaza retail / office development, and 5-7 minutes away from the Singapore Stock Exchange and Raffles Place. It is also 7 minutes from the upcoming Marina Bay Sands integrated casino-resort and adjacent Marina Bay Business and Financial Centre, a 4.5 million sq.ft. waterfront office, retail, and residential development that will become the centerpiece of Singapore’s CBD. Similarly, in terms of SOHO positioning, Lumiere is unique in the CBD, being the only new development capable of offering Grade A strata-titled home-office space in small unit sizes suitable for high-end SME occupancy. On this basis, there will be disproportionately stronger demand for Lumiere tenancies upon completion as compared to other CBD-area projects. In addition, over the long term, owners of Lumiere have the flexibility to select either office or residential tenancies, depending on which offer the highest yield at that time. -
