Stay away!
Terribly mismanaged. Both lifts in my 21-storey block are often out of service and residents are forced to walk up and down the stairs. It's utterly irresponsible that the lifts have been allowed to fall into such a state of disrepair in a building with some many families and elderly residents. -

By the sea
Sea breeze. Living by a huge open common area. Healthy lifestyle along the East Coast area. Nearby Siglap neighbourhood charm with its quaint cafes, restaurants, cool shops and fab gyms. Marine Terrace Hawker Centre and Wet market within walking distance. Near Marine Terrace MRT Station and many buses. -

Units & View
The units is huge although the lease is less than 51 years. The floor area of PSF is cheap that nowadays having Seaview at this area and view of Indoor stadium . Hardly you can get it further. The exterior of the building looks olds and without any facilities. Those ppl do not require so much facilities it can be consider of it as the Sinking funds is cheap. -

Not worth buying nor renting
Just got results that the privatisation did NOT go through, so the land is still own by MOF. Residents need to fork out $133 million just to privatise, and even then, it's not a guarantee to enbloc, as many residents are old and comfortable. It would need at least 10 years for things to move. While then, the lifts are breakind down, ceilings are falling, and leaks are getting more common. Nevertheless, this was a wonderful estate in the last 49 years. Now, it's just ageing, which is why some owners are selling before it hits the 50-year mark. -

Should get Blk 1 unit, if they are ever selli
Rented it few yrs ago and love the unblocked views from Blk 1! Family loved it. So rare to get such good unit, big rooms and space in Singapore in prime location. The asking prices are reasonable, i feel, just that I can't afford it :(. -

Fantastic sea-front living.
Well-maintained estate with more car park lots than apartment units. Blocks 1,2,3 get the best unobstructed fantastic sea-views all the way to the Indonesian outliers that are to die for. -

HUDC Privatised?
Pros are MRT transportation building in progress and target to complete in 6-7 years. Cons are estate ageing and not sure estate being privatised or still own by Ministry of finance in 2017? Limited future En block potential if estate not privatised. -

Nice, affordable
Rooms are quite big. Family loves it. Great outdoors near sea and beach. Great views too but don't choose units near ECP as it can be quite noisy and dusty. Also don't get those which have afternoon sun, too hot. -

Buying for Enbloc? hmmmm...
Land size is too big it gonna take more than one big developer to buy it. Coupled with the top-up back to 99yrs, that gonna be a very expensive enbloc exercise. It did not succeed during the last property wave, it will be harder to materialize now given cooling measures. It will be a 40yr old project in another few yrs. Will be hard for you to sell given tougher financing requirements for the buyer. Enbloc... think again. You need at least get it at a good price... not at $1000psf considering it is almost 40% towards worthless status. (ie. out of its 99-yr lease) -

spacious and great views
its well located with good transport links to the city. Also just minutes to the airport.The grounds are spacious and so are the apartments with great layout. Just minutes to East Coast Park way. Great for families.Also lots of space for a reasonable rental. For an old property, its reasonably well managed. It has en-bloc opportunites if you are prepared to wait a little. -
