Buy or rent only if u don’t have friends or f
Management too uptight with rude security guards who harass my family & frens with multiple questions despite only dropping me off or picking me up. Treat me like a prisoner. I feel stressed when I’m not ready and have to ask my family or fren to come up to wait for me cos they will be harassed by guards the next time they visit. Unpleasant experiences for frens and family. Saw residents quarrel with inflexible guards too quite a few times. I’ve moved away. No safe pathway for pedestrians and kids or those with strollers or wheelchairs and have to move & jostle with cars on narrow roads busy with cars. Feedback given but no action taken to ensure our safety. Many foreigners renting too. -

Overpriced, no greenery
I was fascinated with The Anchorage initially for its location and convenience it offers. After visiting a few units, the condos here are very old and over-priced. No greenery and most units are facing neighbours' homes and tenanted out. Balcony areas are small. Security was rather lax too. Floor on public areas can be slippery on rainy days. -

The Anchorage
Freehold, and yet within walking distance to Queenstown MRT station. Built on a sprawling land with headland amenities of nearby Queenstown and Bukit Merah. If you love furnitures and food at Ikea, you will be happy to know Ikea is just right across it. Big pool and units that ranges from 1 to 4 bed room makes this development a family friendly development -

Anchorage
Enjoy my stay in Anchorage-great condo location esp with the supermkt and buses and mrt at the front and back!! Unit we live in is renovated n we love inviting friends over. we are in H blk and it is so convenient and my kids enjoy this condo more than the east coast where we were previously...hv lots of kids to play with -

Agreed -- a good place to live
I concur with Taylor's view. I spent three years here and it was quite good. If it was noisy, it must have been me making the noise because I never heard it. Then again, I was also living in a top floor unit with no truly adjacent neighbors so that might be part of the reason. Good facilities and pool was great although often clogged up with OPK (other people's kids) so not exactly useful unless you are ready to start at six. A.M. Yes, there were cockroaches. There were also wall dragons (aka gekkos) and myna birds and typical unexpected friends that you just have to get used to if you live in Southeast Asia. As for the anchor point mall and Queenstown Shopping centre, the only people impressed by these things are Singaporean landlords. They aren't quite as wonderful as painted out in some of the earlier reviews. I thought Cold Storage was a gigantic rip-off. I would instead go to the NTUC Fair Price behind the condo or the much larger version at Dawson's Place, approximately five minutes' walk away and we'll worth the trip. But overall this is one of the best places I have lived in my 20 year career in Asia. It was a twelve minute taxi ride to Marina Bay Financial Centre in the morning. At night I would take the train or a bus. Very easy. -

Great condo - Definitely Stay Here
Having lived in Singapore for 7 years and stayed in 4 different condominiums and also visited numerous other condominiums, the Anchorage is definitely my favourite condo. The grounds are well maintained and beautifully lanscaped and the apartments are all very spacious and well laid out. The facilities are great and well spread out with a good size swimming pool that you can actually do decent laps in, a separate children's pool and a jacuzzi. The tennis courts are also well maintained and easy to book. I particularly love the easy access to amenities at Anchorpoint which is a min away and has a Cold Storage, numerous restaurants, beauty salons and shops. I often find I don't even have to venture out of the neighbourhood on the weekend if I don't want to. Great for visitors as well who may not have found their bearings around Singapore yet. The condo is also well located for Queenstown MRT. It is only 5 mins' walk away as there is a shortcut through the back gate. I have never had any issues with noise or soundproofing (unlike what other reviews mentioned) but that may have to do with the location of my unit (top floor corner unit). This was the first place in Singapore that felt like home to me. -

noisy
I am always hearing loud doors slamming form other condos, sometimes every couple of minutes. And the noise from foot steps above can be terrible, esepecially in the master bedroom. There is also noise from neighbours who always leave their doors open and make a lot of noise...TV, talking/shouting, washing up and cooking in their kitchens. Not nice at all. -

Poor Buiding Quality and Design
Recently my family moved into a rental unit at The Anchorage and is surprised to hear the sound of other unit's washing machine and dishes washing clearly. Besides constant footsteps from above unit gives me a headache. Last week my neighbor quarreled and slammed their door. My toilet door and floor shook. Adding to the problem is the air-con box being built just outside my kid's room. I hesitate to turn on the air-con as it causes disturbance to my kid during his studies. I am glad this is only temporarily living for my family. -

Poor Facilities
The Achorage is a good condo but in my view , Satisfactory gym, satisfactory swimming pool, poor carpark management. There are a lot of car coming in to the condo. Lift is slow. Key card system sometime is broken when it rains hard. The gate barrier broken all the time especially when it rains. -

Value and convenience
Stayed here from 07-09. We liked the fact that you can get more space for your money, yet still enjoy a convenient location. Pros: 1. Anchorpoint shopping centre right on your doorstep with every shop you need. 2. Well served by buses and only 5 mins walk through the back gate to the MRT 3. Good facilities, including huge swimming pool, tennis court, refurbished gym and squash court. 4. Quiet (we stayed in block D which is one of the quietest blocks at the back...) 5. Good security Cons: 1. Cockroaches. When we first moved in, management office were not fogging the rubbish chutes and we had loads of cockroaches. Since they started fogging the situation improved, but I guess with an older estate like this, you will always see a few. Some people even tried to tell me this was normal but since moving to another place I have only seen 2 cockroaches in a year, whereas at the Anchorage they were a weekly if not daily occurrence. 2. Very small balcony. 3. The management office was variable in their response to issues. We had a major problem with out water supply but they didn't act on it for ages as "nobody else was affected". One day the entire water supply to our block blew up and only then did they take action! -
