    Worth or not, u decide..

    Been staying in Petir road, next to this project. Likes the nature living; wakes up to bird chirping, sound of insects, fresh air, super quiet etc. However, it is 15 mins walk to the nearest market; 20 mins to the so call MRT line at dairy farm area; almost impossible to walk to Bukit Panjang Plaza; BKE is next door but the jam in the morning makes you wanna remain in bed.. Given that the 4 room HDB next to it is only 300k+ makes one wonder if we wanna spend 1mil+ for this when the former can enjoy the same environment...not to mention it is also 99 years..

    Not for Everyone

    I feel this is a development that purely targets owner-occupiers who owns a car, not so much for investment or capital appreciation. Young couples starting a family who needs to stay near parents/in-laws may consider this as this is the newest development. One thing I must say is the air is really good and cooling at night. (my friend stays near Chestervale so I have experienced it). But without a car, really difficult to travel around by public transport as it's so quiet and not much human traffic and not much bus service that plys around this part of Bt Panjang too.

    New frontier

    There was a time when properties in Jurong was shun by all, now its going for 1000psf...and above. There is always a trade off between proximity and other factors such as peace and quite and fresh air. Projects near MRT will obviously be less peaceful and less quite, you cannot have the cake and eat it, so there will always be a compromise. Treehouse is near BKE but it has the Zhenghua Park as a buffer, now its is funny when one complains about accessibility but overlook the convenience of the BKE as an access option by car....incidentally bus service 700 is right outside the condo and takes you straight to Orchard on the expressway in less than 20 minutes when traffic is clear. Amneties at Bt Panjang Plaza is just a few bus stop away or a 5 mins drive, likewise Tenmile junction..... Shuttle service to DTL will make it convenient and possibly when the area is developed, there will be some re -routing of buses to cater for the residents in the area. In all this may not be the development for all, but then which development is?

    Treehouse

    Agreed that this is more for family, and those who enjoy green, and you need a car. Is not convenient, with limited amenities. All I can said is CDL timed this project well, and riding on sentiment, which is a sold out at a high psf. Mass condo, limited amenities, no nearby MRT, and 99years leasehold...difficult to justify the high psf, is not competitive (todate, almost no sub-sale), if you looked around the West mass condo. (even Lakefront which is asking for more, at the minimum you have a Lake district to talk about, and potential is there as long as development continue.)

    Worthy condo to consider

    This condo is not for those who want closely proximity to mrt or amenities as it is situated rather close to the nature reserve and greenery. This condo is excellent for those who desire peace and quiet and away from the hustle and noise close to the roads or mrt track,and staying in a condo not being surrounded by the HDB flats. Free shuttle bus to the future downtown line is another plus point. No issue with the BKE noise as its is at least 100m away from the expressway and is blocked by trees. It is a mass market condo but with luxury and prestige.At about $800psf for a brand new condo situated in Chestnut Ave,it is of reasonable pricing considering the features and facilities of the development.Compare this with other new 99 lease condos which are priced >$1000psf and other rather old developments nearby. The air is extremely fresh there and temperature is also lower.Excellent for families with children. The price should rise to $1000psf when TOP in around 2014 which is around the time the DTL is ready. One more more is it is an award winning project - Green mark Platinum award for ecofriendly and energy conservation.

    This is a condo not worth buying

    Looking at OneMAP and Google Maps for close by amenities for tree house, one will be hard pressed to locate something decent. For average $800 psf, this condo is located at no man's land and nothing except the nature is nearby. For a reservoir view, i would think bedok reservoir is much better as the facilities can be used by the public. For those speculating that TH will rise and flipped it. There is a big risk you might be unable to dispose off when the bubble is burst. Since 2014 is far away time frame. For rental this is a NO NO investment. For owned stay, better have cars and maid willing to walk 2 km to buy groceries. The bus service is limited. LRT too far too. DTL is even farther. CDL is very smart. Get a lousy lot and impress buyers with new concept and sell them like hot cakes. This is not cheap pricing we are talking here. At the price most buyers bought, be prepared for the worse. One more thing, lived too near to nature means exotic insects and rodents will very likely pay a more frequent visits to your condo. Near to BKE is also a big negative for noise pollution.
