If you have concerns over the potential sirens then you should stay further away from Spottiswoode. Sirens are only turned on in cases of emergencies and they can be turned on anywhere in Singapore when they are transporting medical emergency cases. This is not restricted to only properties near hospitals.

For Sportiswoode, there are sometimes complaints about noise not really from SGH but from construction + background noise from highways including at night. Might depend on your sensitivity to sounds, the specific unit you opt for, and when you are home.

Hi,
Anyone living close to hospitals will definitely hear the occasional ambulance sirens. Spottiswoode Park (just across the Kampong Bahru Road) is no exception. As not all cases are emergencies, ambulance drivers know when to turn the sirens on and off.

So, like I said, it is occasional just like police patrol cars sounding their sirens. I live in Spottiswoode Park and I hear maybe one or two per day. That is all.
