Can any banks allow me for housing loan. I intend to sell my 3rm flat and upgrade to 4rm resale. I work as grab driver for the past 2 years earning a steady income of at least 3K monthly. My wife PR about 1.8K monthly. My 3rm flat fully paid. For your info Im a discharged bankcrupt last 6 years.
My aged now 59 yrs old and wife 37yrs old.

Dear sir,

It will be good to check with a banker to understand more about your loan eligibility. If you need to speak to a banker to do a in-principle approval, do let me know as I can share with you the contact to get this done before you embark into home search. As your age is 59, any CPF monies that you have utilised for your current flat could be returned to your Retirement Account and maybe unable to utilise for the next purchase, therefore planning will be important.

By the way have you fulfill your retirement sum? Because whatever you have utilised in your existing flat, will go back to fulfill retirement account thus you might not have sufficient CPF OA funds for your next home purchase so we gonna plan properly moving ahead.

Dear Sir,

It is possible to secure a bank loan as long as both of you have got stable income. However, before you proceed to upgrade, it will be recommend to work out the following:

1. Sales Proceeds from your current sale ie how much is the profit

2. Your eligible loan amount for the next flat, to find out whether you can afford comfortably

3. The funds left after the sale and purchase, to find out whether there are funds left for renovation and other expenses.
