Hi Joanna,

All foreigners and PRs who wish to purchase landed properties must seek permission from the Land Dealings (Approval) Unit under the Singapore Land Authority. Upon approval, buyers must resided in the landed property purchased (no renting allowed). Applications are mostly assessed on the individual's/ his/her company's value to Singapore.

There are no such restrictions on other private residential projects (condominium/ apartments/ fully privatised ECs). In fact, Singapore is one of the best place to invest in condominiums due to the country's limited land space which means prices would most certainly grow over the years.
