I m a serious buyer of a 4rm HDB flat along kallang 2 bedok,I have bought and sold 2 resale flat,the 1st with hdb loan and 2nd with bank loan,both without a grant.Do i have to pay a levy or any other form of tax in cash besides the C.O.V.if i were to buy another resale flat taking a loan from H.D.B.As i m working overseas at the moment,i will not be able to clarify with H.D.B.plese advise,thank you.

Hi Haresh,

As you did not took any grant when purchase the 2 resale flats, you do not need to pay any resale levy or tax. However, there are 2 thing that you may take note of.

Firstly, you current income must be more than $8,000 to be eligible for HDB loan. Secondly, you may need to top up 50% of your cash proceed from your last unit sold into your new purchase. Therefore, I strongly advise you clarify with HDB when you come back to Singapore.
