Hello,


We would like to buy a condo for
staying purpose and not for investment.If we invest in a 99 leasehold condo for a million dollars and sell it after 15 yrs ,will we get back atleast what we invested or will the value depriciate terribly.We don,t want to make profit but don,t want to lose all the money either.Free hold is out of our budget.So what will you suggest?

Hi Somdatta Roy,
In my opinion, economy and financial market will have strong effect on the property price. It is difficult to justify what is the market siutation 15 years later. However, Singapore's economic fundamental is strong and thus in long term prospective, properties value will expect to rise.

It is also important to select a property with good location and with potential development plans. Other than prime districts, some recommendation as such:
1) Along new MRT station of downtown line;
2) Suburban area with confirm makeover plan such as Jurong and Yishun.
