Hello, what is the process to add my wife's name as joint tenant?
I was single when i bought my HDB through bank loan and still servicing. Wife is currently a home maker. HDB 2 years to MOP. Query to HDB didn't produce a clear answer.

To add your wife as a joint tenant, you will need to seek the HDB branch office approval. You may call them and make an appointment to go down and explain your intentions.

Here’s how you can add your wife as a joint tenant:

- Since you're still under a bank loan and the HDB hasn’t reached MOP, you’ll first need to check with your bank. They’ll assess if your wife can be included in the loan (even if she's a homemaker). Approval will be required.

- Next, once the MOP is met, you'll have to file an application with HDB to update the ownership structure. This typically involves a legal process and some fees.

- A lawyer will need to assist with the conveyancing process to ensure the change in ownership is registered correctly.
