Afternoon Suresh,

If you are SC, you can only rent out max of 2 years to SC tenant. But if you are SPR, you can only rent out at max of 1 year, subjected to HDB approval on renewal.

Good evening Suresh,

I am more than willing to assist with your property rental.

Something to take note, you have to fulfill your minimum occupation period first in order to be eligible to rent out your whole unit. If not, you have to seek approval from your HDB branch office in order to do so.

Another note is that you have to a Singaporean in order to be eligible to rent out your whole unit. SPR household is not eligible to rent out whole unit unless HDB branch office approves.

Usually 1 year lease is more common for HDB lease. If you are looking at a 3 years contract, it will depends on whether tenant keen to renew.

Just FYI, you can rent out 3 years if all subtenants are Singaporean or malaysians if not, max 1.5 years for non malalysian.

It will be good to start marketing your unit at least 2 months before you vacate the unit and especially the festive period is coming soon.

Based on past 3 months transactions, the rental ranges from $1600 to $2000. It will depends on the furnishing options, house condition etc.
