Hello. My name is Tasmia. I want to move to Singapore for job-seeking purposes with a visit visa. I have been handling discussions with HDB owners telling me I can not stay in these kinds of rooms. how can you help me clarify this issue

Hi,
If you do not have a work permit of some sort (WP, SPass, EPass or a LTVP) you cannot rent any room or flat from anyone. You got stay in a serviced apartment or a hotel. That is the law in Singapore.
