Yes, you will be eligible to purchase a penthouse unit at a condo. Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty may apply depending on your nationality as foreigners from the few nations with FTA will have their ABSD exempted for 1st residential property in Singapore.

Yes you are eligible to purchase a private penthouse. Other than that, you are eligible to purchase apartment or landed in Sentosa.

By the way do take note that you will be subject to additional buyer's stamp duty of 20% as a foreigner buying a residential property in Singapore.

Hi there,

Yes, you are allowed to purchase a penthouse unit at a condo. However, do take note that Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) will be payable for foreign buyers. The ABSD will be 20% on the higher of the purchase price or market value.

Selected foreigners are eligible for ABSD remission under Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

Under the respective FTAs, Nationals or Permanent Residents of the following countries will be accorded the same Stamp Duty treatment as Singapore Citizens:

Nationals and Permanent Residents of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.

Nationals of the United States of America.

If yes, Before shortlisting project/unit, I will suggest to check your in principal approval of your loan from banker.

Do take note of the relevant stamp duties applicable. For Foreigners not under Free Trade Agreement, there will be an Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD) of 20% on top of the normal stamp duty.
