Hi Guys,
I'm in big trouble. I rented a flat and paid adv+2mo rental to the owner. But on the day move-in, owner changes his mind and did not let me in giving reasons like he has a family coming in so will not rent out. She asked for a week to return the deposit which never came. So I did what everyone else would have done - file a police complaint and a case at small claims. He did not turn up for hearing and the order was ruled in my favour. Then next stage was Writ of Sale and Seizure for which I wanted the proof of ownership - so I approached HDB after LTA directed me there. Once there HDB took note of this and now they have seized the flat for illegal rent-out. WHat should I do now? Please help me as none of the GOVT agencies are willing to help me...everybody says approach the other.
