I personally would not recommend a personal loan for the 5% because the interests are very high. If your funds are tied in SSB, you may want to wait for the funds to mature first before placing the option to buy. If you are buying a resale property, we can negotiate with the seller for a longer timeline since the funds are still stuck.
If you are buying a resale property, you may also want to take note that you will need to budget some cash for the buyers stamp duty as you will not have sufficient time to draw out your CPF funds.
