BSD (buyer stamp duty) is non-refundable and is paid to IRAS. You cannot claim this from IRAS.

1) Buyer stamp duty is to legalize the S&P agreement, this is a must for buying a property.
2) Buyer stamp duty once paid cannot be refunded.

Unfortunately no, buyer's stamp duty is a one-off non-refundable payment required for all property purchase. It is needed to legally stamp the sale & purchase document so that it will be legally recognized in courts. Are you looking to sell your property soon?

Buyer's Stamp Duty is a tax payable on the purchase, hence sellers are not able to claim it back from IRAS.
On the other hand, if you are asking if your husband can deduct the stamp duty paid, which he had paid, from the proceeds of the sales, before splitting the balance with whoever he needs to split with, that is the agreement that he needs to make with the other beneficiaries.
