Hi

i had completed the transaction of my flat on 20th January. In the process of shifting, renovation and the arrival of my second child, we had misplaced some of the mail delivered to us. Now that we are settled in our new home, I chanced upon a letter from my bank stating that the Option Fee amount paid by cheque by my buyer had bounced.

How do I move forward from here to claim the amount that bounced?

Given that the sale transaction is complete, and that I am not claiming anything other that what was contractually agreed, do I have a case?

Thanks.

Afternoon Nad,

As per documents that you have signed at HDB, you have agreed that you have received and collected the Option plus Exercise Fee, which makes up part of the resale price.
It's being nearly 5 months, it might be hard for you to trace or track back. However, you can try to contact your agent and see if he's willing to help. As the word goes, ask and you might get it. Do not pin too much hope on it though.

Good luck.
