Hi, I have a questions regarding EC downpayment.

Let say my current HDB has reached its MOP and I wish to sell it and upgrade to new EC. Can I apply bounced out EC unit and use my CPF utilized for my current HDB to pay for the down payment? So I can straight move in after selling my HDB.

The timeline is important, you will require to have ready funds for the downpayment up to the stage of progress for the brand new EC in order to do so. It is not the funds that are locked away until you sell the HDB that can be considered. Hope it helps!

Yes you can apply, its a challenging timeline and coordination, but I have worked on similar cases before and have helped my client to transit smoothly. We will need to apply for bridging loan. But we have to have the 5% booking fee in cash first and you also must fulfill the new EC eligibility conditions. I believe you are considering Parc Central EC? Hi Sir/Mdm,

If you wish to use the CPF + interests that are tied in your current HDB to pay for the bounced out unit, it will not be feasible as the timeline is challenging and developer prefers straightforward cases for bounced out units. However, you will be able to try for the new EC units as you will be able to take a bridging loan and sell your HDB only when the EC is ready, thereby moving in straight to the new EC.
