Hi, I’m planning to buy a property in Malaysia but the project only completed and gt the key after 5 yrs probably in 2026. In the mean time if I want to buy the resales hdb now do I need to declare?

Hi,

1) The answer is affirmative. Not providing true and updated information to a public servant is an offense in Singapore.
2) You can be fined up to $5,000 or imprisonment term up to 6 months or both.

3) Uncompleted property is also a property. Therefore if you buy a resale HDB flat you are to dispose of this overseas property within 6 months upon key collection.
