Hi Alvin,

Theoretically speaking, you cannot formally register with any Real Estate Agents until you pass your exams and get your RES certificate. As during the CEA registration process, they will need your certificate. So taking the exams should be the first step you take.

The next question will be, which training agency to take the RES course as there are so many around. For that, I will encourage you to start talking to some real estate salesperson to see which agency you want to join. As some training agencies may be affiliated to some real estate firms so you may be able to get some discounts in the process.

You can only register officially after you pass your exam. However, most of my new agents who became producers got in touch with me before even taking their RES course. I recommended then which course to take and guided them along the way and exposing them constantly to real estates news and happenings.
