Hi, i'm currently holding my salesman license for 3 years but did not practice at all.
This year I have fulfilled my CPD hours, and was thinking of not renewing with an agency.

How long can I take a break from renewing the license without having to re-take the dreaded RES exams?

It is costly to renew/sign up with an agency while I am not practicing. I want to keep as a backup career.

Hello there fellow RES,

The exams we took are just theory, no doubt super challenging.
In reality it is the actual practice. Its a sales job essentially.(Can you handle it ?)
If you're keeping it as a back up career it means you don't believe in it 100%. And you won't do well in something you don't believe in anyways. So just give up your license, really.
Don't waste your time and money. Save it for a good holiday when the border opens.

If I am wrong, prove it ! (To yourself actually)
Quit your job and do it full time. Then you will finally put your license to good use. If you cannot do it at a younger age today, then you never will at an older age.

This is win-win for you. You get to save money or you finally get to use your license. Either is a win. All the best !
