Hi,
My flatmates and I rent a 3 bedroom apartment in river valley area from Jun-07 to Jun-09 (2 years). Due to several reasons, we are moving out of the place. The landlord has earlier agreed on it with some compensation which we are ok. A month after which, the landlord hired a mediator to talk to us that she inisist on us staying on to the property. Initially the mediator tried to find an amicable solution i.e. to ask us to reimburse a little more, before we agreed on it, the landlord refused on the mediator's proposal.
I have not spoken to the landlord since, and the mediator also stopped working for her as well. I am thinking if it would be more possible if we will find someone to take over the lease?
The landlord may also take legal action against us, if it comes to that point, do you know what are the options we have?
