Dear Lixia,

PropertyGuru does not allow home owners to put up their properties for rent or sale. Only registered property agents with paid subscription can do that. It is encouraged to engage the services of a property agent to work on your listing available for rent since commission is only applicable if the transaction is successful, and the commission amount can be factored into the monthly rental, therefore the tenant will be indirectly paying the commission instead of you. Compared to putting up advertisement on your own where you will be charged advertisement fees whether the transaction is successful or not, I believe that engaging the services of an agent will be beneficial for you, on top of the established network we have as well as the due diligence we will go through on the potential tenants.
