Good morning Sir/ Mdm,

you are looking to purchase a HDB or private?

If you are eligible for max 75% bank loan for either HDB or private purchase, downpayment will be 5% cash and 20% cash or cpf.

If taking max 85% HDB loan, downpayment will be 15% cash or CPF.

Other costs will be:
- buyer's stamp duty
- legal fees
- valuation fee
- agent's fee (for HDB transaction)
- resale application fee (for HDB transaction)

Hi,

1) Note that a deposit acts as a booking fee in a property purchase. Once accepted by the seller, means that both buyer and seller enter a legal commitment on the property.
2) Deposit for private property, in general, is 1% to exchange for an OTP (Option-To-Purchase), exercise fee is 4%.
3) Deposit for an HDB flat is $2~$5,000. This is strictly governed by the HDB. There are 2 portions on this deposit; option fee ($1~$1,000) and exercise fee ($1~$4,000).
