I am a 38 yr old female single intending to buy a 3rm or 4 rm flat. With the new change of allowing singles to buy 3 room directly fr HDB, possibly in 2013, would it b wise for me to buy a 3 rm or 4 rm resale flat in 2013? I am concern if the new age is 45, which is 7yr later for me the 3 rm flat may hv risen beyond my means & my loan repayment period is reduced too...Pls advise.

There are still many details that have been yet to be worked out. 2013 for singles BTO is a super optimistic date which may not materialize. Read More

Morning,

It's still to early to talk about single given the rights to purchase BTO units. As at the current standing, first timer are given priority against second timer. It would be likely that single will be given the last priority and there will be restrictions on income ceiling, unit size and possibly, which estate they might be eligible to. Putting your bet onto something remote might not be a good investment.

Hi there,

nothing has been confirmed yet. Are you sure this ruling will apply soon? There's lots of uncertainty.
