I am an only child. If I were to purchase an EC now and after a few years, touch wood, if I were to inherit my parent's HDB. Can I keep both the HDB and EC?

If you were to inherit your parents' HDB in the unfortunate case whereby something bad happens. You would be only be able to retain one. Unless your EC has been privatized. Sorry correction. Even if your EC has been privatized. You would only be able to hold one. That is because you have purchased your EC first. Then inherited your parents' HDB flat.
