I have a friend (foreigner) coming to Singapore for a 6 months training/business trip. He is permitted to be in Singapore for 30 days without needing to apply for visa.

He is thinking of staying 3 weeks each month in Singapore and going back to his home country for a week.

He does not want to stay in hotels. What options does he have to rent?

Dear Mr Choong,

He may wish to look for a serviced apartment for such arrangements. Alternatively you may want to free up a guest room at your place if available to accommodate your friend? :)

Afternoon Mr. Choong,

As your friend would not have long term visitor pass, he can only opt for service apartment.
