Hi,

1) The 50% thingy applies to applications for a 2nd HDB loan.
2) This has nothing to do with when you sold your previous flat.
3) The right-sizing policy is to reduce the government funds to assist in your purchase.
4) You may consider applying for a bank loan for the purchase to avoid this right-sizing policy.
5) But you have to know that you have to fork out 5% cash when applying for a bank loan.
6) You have to weigh which option is best to suit your situation.

Hi,

If your previous flat was financed by a HDB loan, and you are taking 2nd hdb loan again, yes the 50% sale cash proceeds need to be port over to your next flat purchase. It will be indicated in your HFE letter as well when its approved.
