If HDB sales is scheduled to complete tomorrow. Up till this evening, the seller has yet to vacate the property. The seller agent asked the buyer to compromise to go ahead to complete the sales and sign the legal letter of handing over tomorrow as scheduled and take possession of the property on a later date.
My question here is What legal right do the buyer has under such circumstances.

Hi Johnson, you may want to inform the HDB officer about this. You will still have your right to take possession of the flat physically as your payments to the purchased flat have already effected. Legally, you are owner on completion date. If you are represented by an agent, your agent should be best person to help you resolve. Prior to completion, you have inspection right and also, HDB officer will ask you same question on inspection. If you are unhappy and not comfortable, inform the HDB officer and also via phone if earlier. They will help best or may be postpone completion meaning seller, unable to receive their proceeds . Hope this helps. Read More
