Hi Ros,

Stamp fee is calculated as 1% for 1st $180k, 2% for 2nd $180k, and bal 3%. In the case of pte property, this has to be paid in cash and reimbursed later with CPF if buyer has got sufficient CPF in OA.

As for legal fee for private property, it is about $2,500. If buyer is taking bank loan, the bank usually subsidises 0.4-0.45% of the loan amount or $2000-$2500 whichever is lower for legal. This however excludes conveyancing for mortgage, caveat, registration.
