I know my question is too broad, but I am asking gurus as I have no idea and would like to get a sense of it at least.

FYI. I am an expat employee and recently moved in Singapore due to a job.

you might want to consider industrial or commercial as you wont have to pay 15% additional buyer's stamp duty as a foreigner.

Being an foreigner, you will be limited to purchase of leasehold property. With ABSD of 15%, standard stamp duty of 3%, down payment of 20%, you might not have the required funding to proceed. Looking into commercial or industrial property might be your next best option.
