The apartment below my unit is complaining of their ceiling in the area near the toilet is leaking,there are stains appearing on their ceiling in that particular area.the management of the building says i have to fix this situation.however the house below did some alteration by demolishing a wall in this area to enlarge their common toilet.i have not done any alteration to my apartment.what can i do as i fel that the house below caused the leaks by hacking off the wall.

Evening Mike,

Water-proofing are normally done in the kitchen and toilets. Leakage of water is normally from top down, due to seepage and gravity.
If you can get a qualified building engineer to certified that the leakage is due to the renovation work that they have perform, by all means.
