Hi Kumar (can I call u this?)
yr question is not easily answered. it depends on several factors. 1) Is the Non Profit Org (NPO) registered as a society or a company? 2) Is the ppty to be purchased a land, a landed house or a pty apt or other? 3) What is the governing body of the NPO, a board or trustees or a sole trustees? 4) finally what is the purpose of the ppty to be purchased use for? It is for religious reasons or for business investment? Public or private?
After accessing the above, you do need to get a permission fm the authority for any purchase by a NPO. There is a highlight on these matters due to the recent case where a NPO uses it's 'profit' to purchase interest in a local property thereby causing some unhappiness so the govern is closely monitoring it - as to ensure there is no mis-management of public trust where a NPO is concerned.
