First of all, new launches is an attractive starting point for new realtors as it provides a steady stream of ready products for them to sell, which saves them the need to go out and prospect for listings from scratch. This cut shorts the "pain curve" as new realtors will ALWAYS face difficulties securing their own listings in the resale market.
However, the glamour of new launches aside, it takes a certain amount of skill and some luck to sell houses from brochures and a cardboard/plastic model. This is where Huttons agents excel above all others. In most other companies, new launches are sold via showflat, hence they have dedicated new launch teams that wait for showflats to open before they begin their work.
Huttons however excells in this as their agents are trained to SELL OUT the projects before they even open in the showflat. Hence, it really is a cut above the rest in terms of organisation and achievement.
That said, there is a culture that is pervasive only in Huttons, reason in point is that there have been many top performers that have crossed into Huttons, and failed in the new launch arena. As such, pick your mentors wisely as they will make the difference between success and failure in this business.

The basic criteria to be eligible is -
1. min 21 yrs old
2. must have 4 O'level passes.
Then, you will need to register at the Council for Estate Agencies(CEA)and enrol for the new council course & exam, Real Estate Salesperson (RES) (and pass the exam). Then, you may join any agency of your choice.
Check their website out:- www.cea.gov.sg
Alternatively, if you do not possess 4 O'level passes, you have to take and pass a test, called - WPLN (Workplace Literacy & Numeric skills) conducted by WDA (Workforce Development Agency) before you can register for the RES course, conducted by CEA. Once you've passed RES, you may join any agency of ur choice.
