YTL Singapore’s Sandy Island (pictured) was named the Best Housing Development in Singapore, while Keppel Land’s Ocean Financial Centre was named the Best Shared Ownership Development in Southeast Asia.

In addition, Sandy Island was recognised as having the Best Architectural Design in Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Ho Kwon Ping, Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings, received the Real Estate Personality of the Year (Southeast Asia) award.

Organised by publisher Ensign Media, the 2011 South East Asia Property Awards aims to recognise the region’s best residential properties and developers.

“The Southeast Asia region has some of the world’s most innovative and interesting property developments, designed by architects and built by developers whose reputations are known globally,” said Terry Blackburn, Chief Executive of Ensign Media.

The winners were announced at a gala dinner and presentation ceremony at Singapore’s Hotel Fort Canning.
