Last weekend’s Malaysia Property Showcase organised by PropertyGuru was a huge success, with six Malaysian developers — Andaman Group, Ireka Corporation Bhd, Lone Pine Group, Sime Darby Property, The Haven Sdn Bhd and UEM Land — taking part in the event.
“The event was a good experience, giving us positive exposure and a chance to meet Singaporean buyers. We also got to meet local property agents which helps build relationships. I hope we can get positive follow-up soon,” commented Mabel Ooi, General Manager for Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Lone Pine Group.
Held at Orchard Hotel Singapore, the Malaysia Property Showcase received strong response from the public, with the first visitors arriving at around 9:30am, though the event was scheduled to begin at 10:30am.
Several key seminars took place during the two-day event, including the legalities for foreign property investors to Malaysia, investment outlook and opportunities in Iskandar and property financing in Malaysia.
The event also showcased several developments in Malaysia, such as Andaman Group’s The Arc, Sime Darby Property’s Isola, Ireka Corporation Berhad’s SENI Mont’ Kiara, UEM Land Holdings’ Impiana @ East Ledang and Imperia @ Puteri Harbour, and Lone Pine Group’s 1 Tanjong.
“Response has been good with quality walk-in clients,” said an Ireka spokesperson who declined to be named, adding, “The crowd was fantastic – we got a chance to talk to people for about 20 to 30 minutes so we know they are serious buyers. Apart from that, there were quality seminars to educate the public…we intend to take part again next year.”
