Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, the world’s leader in consumer electronics, has launched the full line-up of its 2011 Smart LED and Plasma TVs, which will be available in Singapore starting April this year.

The 2011 line-up features the new 3D Blu-ray technology and innovative home entertainment products that integrate Samsung’s vision of the “Smarter Life”.

Samsung’s 2011 LED and Plasma Smart TV range of products includes the new “Smart Hub,” which offers consumers access to all information sources, recordings, channels, content and the Web.

The “Smart Hub” boasts several new functions, including the “Search All” feature, which makes searching and access to desired content easier. It works not only through TV but across the Web and on any connected storage device within the home network.

Meanwhile, the “Samsung Apps” function is considered the world’s first HDTV-based application store. It offers more applications and meets consumers’ needs across entertainment, sports, games, information and social networking platforms.

Ms. Irene Ng, Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Samsung Asia Pte Ltd, said, “The path is the Smarter Life and its three pillars — Smart Design, Smart Experiences and Smart Connections.”

“Smart Design is about creating the utility and the tools for products that, quite simply, can do more. Smart Experiences means the widest variety of applications, games and programming across all devices. Smart Connections means making Samsung devices truly easy to connect to each other and creating new values for the products themselves.”
