The Housing Development Board (HDB) has launched a tender for a residential site at the junction of Buangkok Drive and Sengkang East Drive, under the confirmed list of the 1H2011 Government Land Sales (GLS) programme.
Located in the east side of Sengkang New Town, the land parcel has a site area of 19,549.2 sq m and a maximum gross floor area (GFA) of 58,647.6 sq m, with a gross plot ratio of 3.0. The site is zoned for condominium housing and can yield up to 550 housing units.
The site is located at “Buangkok Drive / Sengkang East Drive, adjacent to Austville Residences executive condominium,” said Mr. Li Hiaw Ho, Executive Director of CB Richard Ellis (CBRE Research). “It is a short walk to Kangkar LRT station and the shopping outlets at Rivervale Plaza. The site can be developed into a high-rise condominium development of around 550 units.”
HDB said the site is near Sengkang Community Hub, Kopitiam Square, Rivervale Plaza, Rivervale Mall and Compass Point, offering its residents shopping, dining and entertainment options. It is also well connected to several arterial roads such as Punggol Road and Upper Serangoon Road and is linked to the expressway network via Tampines Expressway (TPE) and Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE).
The tender for the site will close on 2 June 2011.
Additionally, HDB noted that in response to the strong demand for private housing and land sites, the government has placed 17 sites on the confirmed list and 13 sites on the reserve list under the 1H2011 GLS programme. These sites, which include four Executive Condominium (EC) sites and two commercial-cum-residential sites, can yield up to 14,300 private residential units.
