City Developments Ltd (CDL) has sold 150 units on the first day of sales for The Rainforest, its executive condominium (EC) project in Choa Chu Kang, at an average price of S$730 psf.
All five percent of the project’s 466 units allocated for second-time home buyers in the first month of its launch were sold yesterday. The remaining units will be available to second-timers on 11 February 2012.
“Besides the appeal of being near an MRT station, shopping mall and other amenities, The Rainforest’s prime location within a mature estate has also been a draw for many of our buyers who already have families living within this area or are familiar with the locale,” said Chia Ngiang Hong, CDL’s Group General Manager.
The Rainforest is being developed jointly by CDL and TID Pte Ltd – a joint venture (JV) company between Mitsui Fudosan and Hong Leong Group.
Meanwhile, with the success of The Rainforest, CDL announced it will launch at least three more residential projects this year.
One of the projects is a 70-unit apartment devlopoment at Robertson Quay, which will be part of a mixed-use development on a land site that CDL acquired in March last year.
Meanwhile, buyers looking to acquire landed homes in the Serangoon Gardens area can look forward to CDL’s launch of a residential project that will be jointly developed with Hong Realty.
At Bartley Road, CDL is also teaming up with TID and Hong Leong Holdings to develop Bartley Residences, a 702-unit condo project expected to be launched after Chinese New Year. Sources said the average price for the project, which comprises one- to four-bedroom units, may be around S$1,200 psf.
