The MIPIM Asia Sustainable Property Expo, considered the largest property expo in the Asia Pacific, kicked off yesterday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The three-day event which ends tomorrow is showcasing projects by hundreds of exhibiting companies and is being hosted by the city for the seventh consecutive year. Yesterday’s opening ceremony was graced by C.Y. Leung, Chief Executive of Hong Kong.
Paul Zilk, CEO of Reed MIDEM which organised the event, said: “This year, MIPIM Asia features a new Summit dedicated to property investment in Asia, combined with a first-ever Retail Summit with the presence of more than 200 retailers, and a new exhibition area which is largely devoted to sustainable property.”
Meanwhile, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) presented the findings of its global property survey for Q3 at the event, which showed that China is still a strong market while Hong Kong will continue to see more occupier and investment activity. Singapore and Malaysia also scored positive results.
Over the course of today and tomorrow, there will be more investment workshops taking place, which aims to offer new opportunities for real estate professionals from across the region.
