New private home sales in Singapore dropped for the month of October, according to new data by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).
1,948 units were sold last month, 26 percent down from the 2,621 seen in September, but 40 percent up from the same period last year when 1,392 units were sold.
Including executive condominiums (ECs), the sales volume was five percent down month-on-month and reached 2,624 units sold.
Meanwhile, developers launched 2,410 new units in October, eight percent more than 2,224 in the previous month.
In total, new home sales stand at 22,723 units for the first ten months of 2012, 18 percent more than the 19,306 for the whole of last year.
The most popular project was Heron Bay in Upper Serangoon View. The EC was launched in October and saw strong sales of 354 units in the month at a median price of $738 psf. The project is more than 90 percent sold.
