A lavish mansion (pictured) nestled on a 17 ha estate in Gold Coast, Australia will be auctioned next month, according to media reports.
Dubbed Bellagio La Villa, the 2,547 sq m estate is owned by property developers Paul and Viki Sweeney, founders of developer Coral Homes. They bought the land in August 2006 for AU$8 million (S$10.15 million) and completed the dream home in 2008, which cost another AU$8 million.
Meanwhile, the auction follows a court-appointed separation sale.
“The home is truly unique – there’s nothing as grand or opulent in the region,” said Robert Graham, an agent with Ray White Prestige, who expects the property to attract national attention.
“We’re anticipating strong interest from interstate, particularly southern buyers who recognise great value in the Gold Coast’s prestige property market.”
The mansion comprises 10 ensuited bedrooms, multiple living areas, media and music rooms, library, indoor pool and spa, gym and five-car garage.
The estate also comes with horse stables and yards, and horse owners are expected to show strong interest for the property, Graham added.
“There is additional land on an adjacent parcel for sale separately, which could be bought to extend the usable land.”
The property will be auctioned on 31 January, along with other luxury homes during the Ray White Surfers Paradise The Event.
