The Topiary (pictured), a new executive condominium in Seletar Hills, sold all 16 penthouse units within 90 minutes on its first morning of bookings last Friday, an indication of the strong demand for EC projects.
The Straits Times reported that the showflat at Fernvale Lane was fully packed and had a long queue outside. A joint venture project between Kheng Leong and Qingjian, The Topiary comprises single-storey units priced from S$1.3 million to S$1.5 million.
Jaime Chong, a 33-year old account manager who secured a 2,013 sq ft penthouse at almost S$1.36 million, said she reached the showflat more than an hour before balloting started and had shortlisted six penthouse units.
“We have three kids, so we need to upgrade,” said Chong, adding that the she was attracted by the EC’s facilities and its proximity to the upcoming Seletar Mall and Greenwich V shopping mall.
The 700 units available range from two- to four-bedders and dual key apartments, with the most affordable unit at S$580,000 and the smallest home measuring 753 sq ft.
Kheng Leong also stated that 225 units at the project were sold within four hours.
