Malaysian developer UEM Land Holdings Bhd is setting its sights on Singapore after opening its first property showcase outside Malaysia.

Datuk Wan Abdullah Wan Ibrahim (pictured), Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at UEM Land, said “Singapore has been one of the key success factors of UEM Land especially with the developments in Nusajaya (Iskandar), and (this opening) demonstrates our continued commitment to strengthen our presence here.”

He added that the move will help “promote better ties and be closer to our Singaporean customers as they make up a substantial portion of our investors.”

UEM Land is the master developer behind Nusajaya, part of the Iskandar Malaysia economic corridor located in Johor, along with other iconic developments in Kuala Lumpur and Vancouver, Canada.

The UEM Land Property Gallery, which is located at Heritage Place, will showcase its “latest projects in both Nusajaya and Kuala Lumpur,” said Datuk Wan Abdullah.

He added that the firm is now working on a number of projects in Singapore while its first project in Vancouver is still on-going.

On UEM Land’s corporate vision, Datuk Wan Abdullah noted that “to attain our vision of becoming a global community builder, we realise the need to expand our wings outside Malaysia and establish solid foundations to continue moving forward.”

“Our foray into Singapore is to ensure that we continue growing in the property development industry not just locally, but also regionally and globally in the near future.”
