A three-bedroom condominium at Natura at Hillview Terrace (pictured) measures just 635 sq ft, slightly smaller than a squash court and bigger than five HDB parking spaces, said The Straits Times.
According to real estate consultants, a typical three-bedroom apartment usually occupies 1,000 sq ft to 1,500 sq ft of space. But Roxy-Pacific seems to be setting a trend in shrinking three-bedroom units, said market watchers.
The development is a JV (joint venture) between Roxy-Pacific Holdings and Macly Group.
In another Roxy-Pacific project, the Treescape in Telok Kurau, a micro three-bedder starts from 603 sq ft. Since its launch, all 32 units were snapped up at a median price of S$1,401 psf.
What sets the Natura apart from Treescape, a boutique development, is that the former has complete amenities across 193 units, which is a first for a mass market project here.
“We’ve designed the building in such a way that the wall can be taken out, so that you can open up the living room to be of a bigger space. That’s what we mean by ‘efficiently designed’,” said Ken Yeo, Projects Director at Macly Group.
Yeo added that they have not received any complaints that their units are not liveable. He predicted that the units would likely appeal to singles or childless couples who desire a smaller space.
